Evaluation of risk factors associated with the post-COVID-19

Este estudo tem como objetivo avaliar os fatores de risco associados às condições pós-COVID-19 em moradores de João Pessoa, Paraíba, que foram infectados por variantes de preocupação (VOC) do SARS-CoV-2. Um estudo de coorte retrospectivo foi conduzido usando dados secundários de sistemas de informação de saúde e autorrelato online de manifestações pós-COVID-19 por pacientes. Identificamos 131 casos diagnosticados com VOC que concordaram em participar do estudo. Destes, 35,9% preencheram os critérios para condições pós-COVID-19. Os fatores de risco associados incluíram falta de ar/dessaturação, comorbidades preexistentes e infecção pela variante Gamma. Os dados mostram que receber pelo menos uma dose de uma vacina contra COVID-19 protege contra os sintomas pós-COVID, destacando a importância de manter os protocolos de vacinação contra COVID-19.
