Climacteric Syndrome

This study was carried out at the João Paz Basic Health Unit, in the city of Londrina - Paraná. Its objectives were: to establish the level of knowledge of the studied population about Climacteric; Identify the main symptoms and signs that led to the diagnosis of Climacteric Syndrome and Clarify the population of the symptoms of Climacteric Syndrome and the problems that occur at this stage of life. Twenty-one women participated in the study. The results obtained show that only 5% know what climacteric is, the majority 76% answered that they know what menopause is. The most mentioned symptoms and signs were: nervousness, hot flashes, tiredness, headache, dizziness, amenorrhea and insomnia, respectively.Downloads
