Abstract
The gas-phase reaction, OH~+HC*OOCH3 - HCO* O__ (ou HCOO__) + neutrals, has been investigated by ion cyclotron resonance techniques at pressures of 10~5 torr. Analysis of the oxygen-18 content of the carboxylate anion suggests the presence of a celision complex, that may be a tetrahedral intermediate.
