Abstract

This work describes the etiology of a postweaning diarrhoea focus in a intensive piggery. The results of identification procedures showed the simultaneous occurrence of Escherichia coli, rotavirus, picobirnavirus and Cryptosporidium parvum. In VERO cells culture, was detected the LT (termolabile toxin) production by three E. coli samples and VT (verotoxin) production by five samples.
