Heat treated raw soybean (HTRS) was used as an ingredient at levels of 0; 7; 14; 21; 28 and 35% in broilers rations, from the first to the 49 th days of age. A total of 672 one-day-old chicks were placed in 24 pens with 28 chick each. The experimental design was completely randomized block in factorial arrangement with six treatments and two sexes, with four replications (two by sex). There were no differences in weight gain for different rations; however, for feed consumption, reduced values were observed for ration with 14% of HTRS (4743 g), which did not differ (P>0.05) from the control (4858 g), but had lower consumption than the treatment with 21% (5108 g) and 35% (5143 g) of HTRS. The utilization of HTRS (X) in the diets increased (P<0.01) the feed consumption (Y) of the broilers according to the regression equation, Y=4758.26+10.36X. For feed conversion the treatment with 14% of HTRS (1.90) did not differ (P>0.05) from the control (1,99), but had better conversion (P<0.05) than the rations with 21% (2.04), 28% (2.02) and 35% (2.05) of HTRS. The increasing dietary levels of HTRS (X) on the rations resulted in high feed conversion (Y) (P<0.01) according to the regression equation, Y-1.93+0.0035X.
