Abstract

Objective: This paper analyzes the applicability of the Heptadimensionsal Model of Organizational and Scientific Care in information regimes and policies, highlighting its contribution to information and knowledge management, ethics, and innovation in organizational and scientific environments.
Methodology: This research adopts an essayistic approach, grounded in a theoretical-conceptual framework and a narrative literature review on information regimes, information policies, and care models, with an emphasis on the contributions of Von Krogh, Ichijo, and Nonaka (2000), and Brandão and Freire (2022). The analytical path focused on the conceptual articulation between the seven dimensions of care and the constituent elements of information regimes.
Results: The findings indicate that care, through its seven dimensions (mutual trust, active empathy, access to help, leniency in judgment, courage, communicability, and informational resilience), acts as a structuring element in information regimes, promoting collaboration, the democratization of knowledge, and the formulation of more inclusive and effective public policies. Furthermore, the study resulted in the proposal of a theoretical framework that relates the dimensions of care to the sociotechnical, normative, and discursive components of information regimes.
Conclusions: It is concluded that the proposed model represents a relevant theoretical and methodological contribution to Information Science by offering new perspectives on the interaction among organizational dynamics, collaborative networks, and public policies focused on Science, Technology, and Innovation. The research resulted in a conceptual proposal of an information regime, understood as a dynamic arrangement of knowledge production sustained by collaborative bonds and relations of care.
