Abstract

Objective: This study aims to identify mobile library services, known as mobile library, in cloud computing environment, based on a literature review.
Methodology: As for the methodological aspects, it is a bibliographic and exploratory research with a qualitative approach.
Results:
The results are divided into: literature review, which reflects the conceptual foundations involved in the approach, where cloud computing is the environment in which relationships between users and libraries are established through mobile devices, providing development of the mobile library. Also in the results are identified library services that can be offered through mobile applications.
Conclusions: It follows that mobile library adoption is complex and challenging and expresses a range of actions, skills and requirements oriented to mobile user service. Strategy implementation and application development would represent only part of these actions. It would also need to involve employees from all areas, create and develop content acquisition policies, improve services, empower users in the use of information content and applications, and integrate management of technology platforms. it was observed the need for content creation, since modern smart mobile devices offer sophisticated media capabilities useful for applications such as ebooks.
