Os estudos geográficos estão em plena expansão no Brasil, o que é revelado por um lado, pela quantidade de trabalhos de pesquisa sobre os mais variados temas, e por outro lado, o que é mais importante, pelo aumento progressivo das reflexões sobre as implicações metodológicas e técnicas da sua própria realização. É neste contexto que colocamos o artigo do Prof. Dr. Jurandyr Luciano Sanches Ross que busca facilitar o conhecimento do Relevo Brasileiro através de uma nova proposta de classificação.
