Geologia, geomorfologia e disponibilidade hídrica subterrânea na bacia hidrográfica do Ribeirão Jacutinga

A bacia hidrográfica do ribeirão Jacutinga localiza-se ao norte da região urbanizada de Londrina, onde afloram rochas ígneas vulcânicas pertencentes à Formação Serra Geral. Fisiograficamente, a bacia está inserida num relevo suavemente ondulado a ondulado, muito comum em todo o Terceiro Planalto Paranaense. O Aqüífero Serra Geral, devido às suas características litológicas, constitui-se em um meio hidrogeológico heterogêneo, onde o fluxo d’água se faz de maneira restrita, limitado a descontinuidades representadas pelos sistemas de diaclasamento da rocha. Uma maior coalescência de diáclases pode representar uma maior oferta de água subterrânea nesse tipo de aqüífero. É o que acontece na área de ocorrência da bacia hidrográfica do ribeirão Jacutinga, onde esse recurso é crucial para a manutenção das atividades rurais ali desenvolvidas.
