Considerações sobre os serviços de água na produção do espaço urbano de Maringá-PR

Na produção do espaço urbano, o Estado desempenha um papel importante no que se refere à implementação da infra-estrutura. Desta forma, este trabalho tem como objetivo tecer algumas considerações referentes aos serviços de abastecimento de água na cidade de Maringá, localizada na Região Norte Central do Estado do Paraná, Brasil. Este estudo foi realizado através de entrevistas e de pesquisa bibliográfica, e remonta à emancipação do município. O processo de instalação da rede de abastecimento de água na cidade iniciou-se na Zona 1 (Centro) e na Zona 2, as quais foram as primeiras a serem beneficiadas, privilegiando os interesses do poder dominante bem como os do próprio Poder Público.
