Abstract

This article addresses two kinds of trips which, although quite distinct, are related in the analyzed case. The first is a linguistic trip created through a translation worked as an aesthetic exercise by Jorge Luis Borges. The second kind of trip has mystical trait and acts as the prompting of the first: the trip by Emmanuel Swedenborg on spiritual planes. The study verifies how the conclusions obtained by the Swedish mystic from what was discovered in his mystical wanderings were able to induce symbolic spaces that serve as migratory destinations for other texts.
