This study aimed to construct and validate the internal structure of a scale that enables the identification of academic behaviors in the stricto sensu called the Academic Behavior Scale – Stricto Sensu (ECA-SS). The construction of the scale was operationalized with the participation of 4,071 stricto sensu students from different areas of knowledge and researchers and professionals in Psychology. The final version of scale consisted of 49 statements, 25 of which represent academic citizen behaviors and 24 of which represent counterproductive academic behaviors. It is believed that Academic Behavior Scale - Stricto Sensu can contribute to the academic environment in order to identify the behavioral profile of students in order to guide and encourage students to demonstrate citizen behavior in the university environment. Furthermore, future studies can use the ECA-SS, maximizing the methodological consistency of the investigations.
