ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to systematically review the contribution of family and school in the development of life skills (LS) in the context of sports training. The searches were conducted in seven databases and through the reference searches. Prisma descriptions were followed, identifying 51 studies. The results showed a predominance of investigations in Canada and the United States. The authors of the studies have used different instruments, variables and theoretical models to verify the contribution of the school and/or the family in the development of skills for life. It is concluded that school and family involvement in sport can contribute to the acquisition, refinement and transfer of characteristics that can be applied in the lives of individuals. Finally, there is a need to build specific quantitative instruments that jointly assess the contribution of the school and the family in this process.
