This article intends to comment and relate three contemporary works of art, their artistic processes and their developments. An artist from Santa Catarina, Aline Dias, and her work Cube of dust, and a French artist, Hubert Duprat. Two works by this artist are analyzed: Cocoons, cocoons of aquatic larvae, Tricoptera, made of gold and precious stones and As Beasts, figures sculpted in flint.
