The meaningful potential of photographywith emphasis on aspects concerning time

Abstract

It proposes to emphasize the relation time/movement that is revealed photographic images as well as addressing temporality issues – consciousness time, embedded on this picture´s reading. It presents such reflections based on Dubois and Comte-Esponville and through the analysis of a photographic image selected that puts emphasis on qualitative, referential and symbolic aspects. The relevant aspect of these reflections is the review of the photographic image’s role in the current scenario permeated by visual representations which constitutes the communicational processes languages.
