(In)visible cities: images, routes, photography and representations

Abstract

This article is about a study on questions involving concepts of image and city. It analyses the means by which the various forms of space perception influence visual relations users construct from a city. If further deals with various forms of representation of the same space and, by understanding photography as an extent of someone else’s eye, it performs a reading of two photographic essays of São Paulo City, signed by Cristiano Mascaro and Nelson Kon.
