Reflections on war photography and its repercussions in society and in the socialization capacity of those who produce it are the aim of this paper. On a starting point of view, the war photographer is as professional as anyone else; however, constant exposure to danger and the eminence of death affect his relationship within society. This article stresses critically the path of war photojournalism and seeks to encourage reflection on the – and about the – three agents of the communication process: the producer, the conveyor, and the recipient.
