Abstract

Photograph can provide a critic debate about the construction and change of the reality, specially as ideological instrument. On this article, were analyzed photos used to publish two places from João Pessoa (Paraíba State): the lake of Parque Solón de Lucena and the beach of Tambaú. To analyze these photos in a qualitative way – by the author view, the tourist view and the researcher
point of view – we used iconography and visual narrative. By the
study, we could understand how photographs with different origins
can give material to an understanding about the production of images of touristic spots from the city.
