Abstract

This paper aims to present some links between law and public policy. It is intended to expose the definition of public policy, as located in the doctrine that deals with the subject and from this concept, consider the possibility of considering the creation of legal rules as public policy. Aims to thus check the proximity between public policies and rules arising from the legislative process. Finally , we analyze the performance of the judiciary as a body for control and implementation of public policies .

Civil Procedural Law Professor at the Catholic University of Pelotas. Specialist in Civil Procedural Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. Master in Education from the Federal University of Pelotas. PhD candidate in Social Policy at the Catholic University of Pelotas.
