PEEPIN: A new way to teach and learn

In Brazil, there are campaigns by organizations that seek to support and minimize the chaotic membership. However, such citizenship action campaigns unfortunately have not yet made the population aware of the way they should be. And we have a population on the margins of development, with few possibilities for work, and, consequently, with fewer possibilities for the necessary food. This reality was felt by the group of students from the PEEPINGIM 04 Project in 1995, working with families in the neighborhoods in the area covered by the UBS in Jardim Santiago, Londrina. With the picture that was presented, a study was carried out with the children of the neighborhoods and with the children of the CAIC crèche. This study aimed to survey the degree of malnutrition of children to provide guidance to families and suggestions for food alternatives, but more than malnutrition, GIM 04 students and instructors learned about basic health and citizenship portrayed in the closing speech of the Peepin 95 activities.Downloads
