Good and bad experiences along the implementation process of the Integrated Curriculum of the Nursing School at the StateUniversity of Londrina

The purpose of this study was to determine the perspectives and difficulties faced by the teachers from the Nursing Department at the Health Sciences Center at the State University of Londrina during Module I development and implementation of the Integrated Curriculum of the Nursing School. The research was made up of a case study and the data were obtained through a set of questions answered by 13 (thirteen) teachers, who designed and established the Module I of the Integrated Curriculum of the Nursing School at the State University of Londrina in 2000. The data analysis made it possible to determine the factors which either made it difficult or easy to implement the process as well as to arise the professors’ perception of curriculum changes. The study has contributed, so far, to the teaching quality improvement of the new Nursing School Curriculum at the State University of Londrina.
