10 male dogs, of undefined breeding, were used to study the viability of autologous peritoneum in substitution of a urinary bladder segment. In the pre and post operative phases, the dogs were submitted to various laboratory exames (urine: physical, chemical and blood: eritrograma and urea) plus radiology and body temperature. The time of observation ranged from 1.5 to 120 days. The hystologic aspect showed a bone metaplasia in the site of the implants.
