Abstract
Intercrop is a system used as a way of increase yield and income per unit of area. So it makes possible the maximum use of environment resources, besides it promotes ecological equilibrium. Considering the advantages that the intercrop system can offer for vegetable cultivation, which is characterized by intense management and soil exposing, this work shows the main aspects related to intercrop systems of vegetables.
