Portuguese colonization in Brazil based itself on the enslavement of non-white people, which left deep marks that reverberate even today in our territory, as the liberation of the enslaved person did not break the shackles of devaluation and limited access to work. Since then, the marginalization of the black population in all sectors of society, especially black women in the world of formal work, has dragged on. This research sought to show how the social and historical context influences the insertion in the world of work. Thus, the research objective was to understand the history experienced by black women who are now part of the Cooper Região de Londrina/PR cooperative with qualitative research using the oral history method. At the end of the research, it was possible to verify that the black women of the cooperative have in their professional history the generational marks of prejudice and neglect suffered by enslaved blacks in Brazil.
