The perseption of students and teachers and a look at the pedagogical project: what do they reveal about the environmental theme in the administration curse of a federal university

The aim of this article was to analyze how the environmental theme is inserted in the Administration course of the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL), Campus Arapiraca, as regards as the formatioin of the future administrators. For this purpose, a study with descriptive nature was developed from the case study method. For data collection, three distincts tools were adopted: questionnaire application with a hundred and two students enrolled in the course; seven interviews with professors from the vocational formation and dcomental analysis of the Pedagogical Project of the Course (PPC). The results showed that the environmental themes are not covered by the PPC and approximately 58% of respondents say they miss the subject in the course. All teachers interviewed recognize the importance of the theme for the formation of the future administrator, but at the same time the majority assumed that the lack of their knowledge about environmental issues would be the main difficulty for the development of this theme in the course as a whole. Considering the objective of the work, it can be stated that the does not contemplate the environmental thematic is not inclued at the pedagogical matrix from the UFAL Administration course at Campus Arapiraca, which causes a lack of knowledge and skills that will be relevant for the future administrador carring out the organizational management with focus on sustainable development.Downloads
