Reverse logistics acts to manage and operate the return of goods and materials after its sale and consumption of its origins, adding value to them. This study aims to analyze the reverse logistics system of empty pesticides through the case study of the Association of Pesticide Dealers Navirai in Brazil (ARANAV), responsible for receiving the return of empty packaging. The ARANAV emerged with the Legislation no. 9.974/00, in which dealer industries and producers started having direct responsibility over the return of empty containers and packaging. The producer has now the duty to deliver empty packaging to the selective waste collection station, following the instructions given in the respective Value Added Tax invoice, in order to be sent to the recycling orburners accredited by the Cooperative of Sugar Cane Breeders of Guariba (INPEV), which can be then turned into packaging for lubricating oil, wood, plastic, etc. In order to collect the greatest amount of materials, the INPEV Cooperative has created awareness campaigns within the producers through advertising campaigns. Ultimately, reverse logistics has greatly contributed greatly to the environment by stopping toxic materials from being deposited on riverbanks and preventing its contamination.
