Abstract

Sustainability is a central issue in contemporary society. Management studies, as a field of knowledge directed towards the organized collective production, has developed many approaches to institutionalise the awareness of sustainability and its practices. One way to deal with this issue is through Corporate Social Responsibility. I present in this essay reflections on the concrete possibility of Corporate Social Responsibility based on my experience as a film viewer. In these works, I highlight the limits and contradictions between sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility and our Western way of life.
