Sustainability in Micro and Small Enterprises Paraná

Abstract

Currently companies have sought better ways to manage business. Performance management in an organization can significantly reflect on the results and adopting a working model consistent with the expectations, guided by a policy of values that can bring returns to the organization, is essential. The incorporation of the environmental situation in the midst of business management also has imposed new adaptations to organizations as environmental management is gradually gaining its place in society. This article aims to highlight the use of procedures for environmental management practices focusing on Sustainability of Micro and Small Enterprises of the Midwest Region of Paraná. The methodology of the aims the research is characterized as descriptive, as to the procedures for data collection, survey type, on the approach of the problem, the research is quantitative, descriptive. The research sampled 69 Micro and Small enterprises in the Midwest region of Paraná, specifically in the municipalities of Bituruna, Chopinzinho and Coronel Vivida. The sampling method was not probabilistic. It was possible to verify that the businessmen do not have sufficient information about environmental management, which makes it difficult to apply sustainable practices.
