The interest awakening in reading and writing by the accounting students of Londrina State Universtity – UEL – during graduation

Abstract

This study attempts to identify the course in Accounting from State University of Londrina arouses interest in reading technical and scientific production in students. The methods used in this study were: Literature and exploratory field research, whose collection was done through direct interviews tickets to students and graduates of 2009, State University of Londrina. The results have shown that students prefer tickets as a source of regular reading books, while the graduates prefer the internet and also that they prefer books of accounts instead of tickets they prefer other subjects, and who spend more time reading than these. The final conclusion is in response to the research question "the course in Accounting from State University of Londrina has attracted the interest of students in reading and writing accounting matters?", The result of research presents strong evidence that course in Accounting Sciences at UEL have aroused interest among students in reading and writing, considering that former students are more focused on accounting matters and devoting more time to study, and scientific readings.
