The present paper intends to stress the crisis of legality in the consumer sector, considering that the laws, although they exists, are not being fulfilled by the suppliers. There is an increase in the number of consumers seeking the Consumer Protection and Protection Agency (PROCON), in Belo Horizonte City, to demand the fulfillment of their rights. This reality will be demonstrated from the statistical data of PROCON-BH from 2014 to 2016. The deductive legal method was use in addition to the bibliographic and statistical research. It was concluded that the crisis of legality in the Consumer Law may be related to: legislative inflation, the difficulty of following the complexity and speed of social changes, the discrediting of the law for not representing the will of society and for not being able to provide satisfactory answers to existing demands, and to the process of delegitimation.Downloads
