Introduction: The object orientation works with a notation of its own and has some core concepts. Among the most important are classes, attributes, relationships and inheritance. On the other UML language, hand has diagrams own.
Objective: To demonstrate the methodology of object orientation and UML modeling language, with its many diagrams.
Methodology: To illustrate the operation the diagrams develops a case study surrounding a system of lending books in library.
Results: It found that there are influences of the theories of classification, especially that of Ranganathan, in modeling of information systems, demonstrating that everything is developing today in computer science, more precisely in the area of systems development, has been accomplished before manually.
Conclusion: In this study has confirmed that in order to understand the complex, first you need to divide it into parts and sort it.
