Abstract

Objective: Identifying and elucidating the existence of structured approaches on obtaining, organizing, sharing, the use and management of information. Such an approach is justified (i) from a theoretical-academic point of view, as an opportunity for Information Science to expand research in the investigation and analysis of business models of the 'digital platform' type, revealing new knowledge; (ii) from the organizational point of view, by enabling conditions for the emergence of more accessible visual interfaces on decisions and performance of these models.
Methodology: This article presents three Systematic Literature Reviews, focusing on the pillars Digital Transformation, Business Model of the 'Digital Platform' type and Ontology.
Results: The results demonstrate the opportunity for new theoretical-applied studies on the triad 'Digital Transformation - Business Model of the type 'Digital Platform' - Ontology', focusing on the characteristics of these models and a systemic and holistic view. It should be noted that this article is part of a PhD project in Knowledge Management & Organization, considering the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary field between Information Science, Administration and Computing.
Conclusions:
In the organizational context, reflection on the 'state of the art' of the literature on the aforementioned triad identified some characteristics to be considered in business models of the 'digital platform' type, with the aim of helping managers in their incorporation and structuring of ontological modeling aiming at the effective organization of information for the generation of new knowledge.
