The aim of this work is to analyze the role of Social Movements and Non - Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in the face of the agribusiness advance that remains fixed in the western state of Pará, in the Lower Amazon region, in the context of agrarian geography. This theme has been much debated and faced by Social Movements and NGOs in western of Pará. The methodology used occurred by mean of the theoretical conceptual revision and the fieldwork, using the technique of semi-structured interviews with members representing Social Movements and NGOs, as well as image records were made of the investigated area. It is noted that from the territorialization of capitalist and hegemonic agriculture, there were changes of the landscapes in the region and metamorphosed the socio-spatial and socio-territorial relations. In this perspective the implementation of logistic systems (ports, waterways and highways) in the western part of the Amazon region of the Pará state, corroborates the aggravation and materialization of land grabbing, agrarian and territorial conflicts, maintenance of private property and land concentration.Downloads
