Municipal solid waste management has been one of the biggest challenges to be solved by society today, intensified by the increasing generation of waste per capita. With this, there is the need to create new areas to dispose municipal solid waste, these sites should be carefully chosen and follow the appropriate engineering projects. Therefore, this work presents a proposal for analysis of final disposal of solid waste areas of the metropolitan area of Londrina, taking into account their distance from surface water and supply wells, given the potential for contamination. It was also carried out to study production of system contamination risk map Serra Geral Aquifer landfill sites in the study area, using the new evaluation method called Aquifer Contamination Risk of Landfills (RIQA). This study showed that approximately 31% of the landfills of the cities in this metropolitan area are allocated to within 200 meters of surface water sources and nearly 19% of supply wells are in this condition and two of these municipalities had a high risk of contamination of the aquifer.Downloads
