The last years of the 50’s and the beginning of the 60’s represented, in the last century, a transition from the modern to the post-modern era. Some concepts, as the history supremacy, and the totality were progressively rejected. We witnessed to the end of grand narratives giving place to the individual’s fragmentation, affecting the concept we had of ourselves. Today, we live continously in uncertainty, and doubt: Who are we? In this paper we intend to investigate how that individual's fragmentation is present on the novel Budapeste, from Chico Buarque.
