Between history and fiction: the JK miniseries like a place of memory

Abstract

This paper considers how the JK miniseries, produced and broadcast by Rede Globo in 2006, can be considered a place of memory. For such comprehension, it is necessary to explore the seriate narrative as a fiction controlled and even as resources used by the television drama of historical reconstruction give credibility to work, as verisimilitude and mix of characters and fictional images with real. Because it is an extensive television production, this study focuses only on the tensions surrounding the Juscelino Kubitschek possession, between October 1955 and January 1956, totaling nearly three hours of production.
