Abstract

This article aims to discuss the aspects of photography as a document and representation of Indian people, specially the Guaranis. In this sense, it presents the results of a photographic workshop with the Indian community of Guarani from Brakuí, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, during an Indian professor course related to history learning. Considering the images done by and about the Indians, the text discuss how this group construct and produces internal and external representations in different situations of a non- Indian world, in an interesting mirror games.
