Rosa Gauditano was a professor of Photography at the Pontifical University of São Paulo and created the NGO Nossa Tribo, whose proposal was to make a connection between indigenous villages and cities through work with photography and video. In this interview, Gauditano talks about how she entered politically engaged photography during the period of the Brazilian military dictatorship, covering the historic strikes in the ABC region of São Paulo, the women's and black movements and, especially, how she perceived the insertion and participation of women in the professional field of photojournalism.
