Periguete and the New Middle Class: a model of body and beauty to call yours?

The periguete is a 2000’s phenomenon, characterized by sensual women, who stand out by the exhibition of the own body, used as a strategy for social insertion and cultural visibility. In this article, we try to relate the mediatic emergence of the periguete as a model of consumption for the new medium class, which rose in the Brazil's economic growth, increasing its visibility as a consumer market, based on a qualitative research using bibliographic methods and documentary, under a paradigm of complexity approach.Downloads
