Abstract

With the purpose of reviewing the notions of the sublime, simulacrum and strange-familiar, we seek contributions on the theories of Burke, Mario Costa, Sartre and Freud. The visual representations analyzed are considered as an evidence of the real. The reflections can contribute to characterize the type of vision that builds on post modernity and, with regard to communication, allow to conjecture about the fact that the technique is not something external to man, but something that influences the way we perceive and relate to the objects and people.
