Abstract

The environmental concern is an important issue in the contemporary media. The media provide diferent messages to influence the spectators to form their opinions, acting in nature defence. This study presents an aesthetic analysis on two visual media, in order to understand how these medias represent the environment issue by different approaches, technical resources and languages. The research objects are the documentary film An inconvenient truth, by Al Gore, and the documentary photography Genesis by Sebastião Salgado. However, the both medias have the same objective, they work with different aesthetic approaches, exploring the audience emotion.
