Memories in process: a communication study about the videos of companhia do latão and ói nóis aqui traveiz

Abstract

The work aims to reflect on the relevance of the proposed method of Bertolt Brecht theatrical production through his reworking from the Brazilian culture, analyzing the videos, through their connections with the theatrical performances, two brazilian groups namely: Companhia do Latão (Sao Paulo) and Ói Nóis Aqui Traveiz (Porto Alegre). The analytical methodology merges aesthetic and philosophical notions coined by Brecht and Walter Benjamin on the observations collected during a field survey along the two theater groups, aiming at a broader understanding of the connection between the theather and their audiovisual recordings on DVD. Examines the use of the effect-V in their video productions. Yet some formal experiments that intersection video theater in the service of memory and stage productions own experimental research in this field.
