Abstract

In the midst of growing platformization and educational reforms, Geography teaching in Brazil faces the challenge of reinventing itself to meet contemporary demands through practices that promote active participation and meaning for students. This article investigates the use of school postcards (CPE) as a pedagogical resource, combining visual elements and spatial concepts to reflect on urban space. The qualitative research, grounded in Bardin's content analysis, analyzes materials produced in didactic stages that connect photographic records and geographical analyses. The results show that CPEs broaden the understanding of the urban environment, geographical concepts, and value students' experiences, strengthening the relationship between geography education, visual expression, and student protagonism.
