Abstract

This paper examines the importance of the ongoing academic debate regarding the crisis of the State from the perspective of the Theory of the State, as well as the theoretical confrontation of the concept of statehood. Moreover, subjects that are essential for understanding the State, such as Modernity (Solid and Liquid), Globalization, its consequences, Capitalism, and its dialogue with public and private entities, were also analyzed. In light of this context, there has been significant progress regarding the phenomenon of Surveillance and the inability of the State to understand its dimensions. In this sense, this research sought to clarify the relationship between risk and technology, in order to better understand how global issues escape the regulation of the territorialized state. Finally, the effects of democracy and its place/role in the reconstruction of a post-crisis scenario were discussed. This study utilizes literature review as its primary method of analysis.
