The Juscelino Kubitschek government and the representative democracy myth: the vigilance of the DOPS-SP Secret Service in the democratic associations in 1956-1960

The present article has the objective of analyzing the monitoring and the repressing practices of the Secret Service of the DOPS-SP through the analysis of its reports during the period of 1956 -1960, giving emphasis to the action of this agency under some vindication movements that glimpsed in these new times of great transformations in the Brazilian society, proposals of effective changes in the relation between the capital and the work. The infiltration of its agents in these associations demonstrates the entailing of this repressive system with the politicians segments subordinated to the sectors of the dependent bourgeoisies, whose monopoly of domination was threatened by the magnifying of the civil rights.References
