The article aims to analyze the main anticommunist representations in Piaui in the 1960's. We note the existence of three strands anti-communist in the state: the religious, the conservatism and the one linked to the issue of private property, which together can be understood as representing the major segments, where we find those who fought most strongly against communism at that time. From these aspects point to a range of anticommunist representations, which were built in Piauí, and that in some way helped to mean the vast majority of political and social events in the state this decade.
