Como parte das atividades do 4° CBG/São Paulo/1984, foi realizada nos dias 21 e 22 de julho uma excursão para a Estação Ecológica da Juréia (SP), organizada pela AGB - Secção São Paulo. Coordenada pelo pesquisador Joel S. Coimbra (CNPq/SEMA), a equipe compunha-se de 20 participantes com representantes das AGBs São Paulo, Florianópolis, Ribeirão Preto, Três Lagoas e Londrina.
