This essay aims to present Jacque Fresco's ideas and explain the concept of Resource-Based Economy (EBR) as a proposal for the paradox of the concepts of sustainable development. It descriptively presents the historical and methodological approach models made by its developer, Jacque Fresco. This paper concludes that the propositions go beyond any utopian model, considering the empirical studies that are carried out in the Venus Project, Florida. This essay is a guide so that other researchers can be aware of this socio-technological model and, as they go deeper into the subject, they can develop different conclusions about it.
