This article aims to present and discuss some of the new forms of literary reception in the digital age through different media and their convergence. Presenting a brief overview of the media influences on the literary performance of a work, we will take as an example the case of The Handmaid's Tale, by Canadian author Margaret Atwood, which, more than three decades after its first publication, has achieved significant public success thanks to its adaptation in series and its cultural and political appropriation in social networks, expanding its reception beyond the pages of books.
