Abstract

The present article aims at analyzing Roman Ingarden's project for an ontology of the literary work of art by elucidating his concept of ontology, its assumptions, implications, and consequences. It thus addresses his concerns regarding the methodological scope for studying and comprehending the literary work of art's mode of being and operating
